Born and raised in the Northern Appalachian mountain range in Northern Pennsylvania, Alan has been enjoying the outdoors since he was 7 years old. He started hunting and ran his own trapline at the age of 8 and has continued this passion to the present day. His experience has two parts, a deep family tradition that traces back to his Great-Grandfather who was a hunter, trapper and lure maker and his own outdoor experiences over the last 25 years.Alan was a Bio-Chemistry Fisheries Science major in college before embarking on a ten year professional baseball career (1992-2001) with the Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, and NY Mets.
