Description

This is a very special edition of the Outdoor Magazine Television show. After more than twenty five years in outdoor television, host Mike Avery is changing direction to concentrate on his syndicated Outdoor Magazine radio show. As a result, this is the last Outdoor Magazine TV show to be produced. In this show Avery takes a look back at a quarter century of outdoor television including some of the people, places and things covered on the show over the years. You'll see archival video of famous bowhunter Fred Bear and an interview with rock star Ted Nugent on why he wrote a tribute song to Fred. Infamous Michigan bowhunter Mitch Rompola is also featured. Mike interviewed him a few years before Rompola killed a potential world record buck. There's also video from Michigan's "Mr. Outdoors", Mort Neff. Neff was an early supporter of Avery's outdoor video work. Mike also pays tribute to two people he says are largely responsible for his success in outdoor television over the years. Rare video of a rut crazed buck attacking a man is also seen on this show as well as highlights from Avery's hunting and fishing adventures in North America and beyond. The veteran outdoor broadcaster says it was impossible to include all the video highlights from a quarter century of the Outdoor Magazine show, but this last episode was a good representation of the show, it's evolution and the topics covered along the way
